For the first time in 33 years, the DIAA boys’ and girls’ basketball tournaments will be played in open format. The boys’ and girls’ basketball committees met Friday morning and released seedings for the tournament, scheduled to run between March 1st and 13th.
17 first round games will be played on the boys’ side Tuesday, the girls tip off Monday with nine first round games. All games are scheduled for 6:30 pm and the state finals for each will be played at the newly-christened Chase Field House (formerly 76ers Field House) Friday March 12 and Saturday March 13.

- Newark
